This story involves the theft of a set of antique bagpipes.
Kim Hanlon's father, a police officer,
plays the bagpipes, and takes the whole family
to Maine to "bagpipe camp."

This biography of the nineteenth-century newspaper reporter
inspired my adult mystery series featuring journalist Diana Spaulding.

1990, Avon Camelot paperback edition

Much of the inspiration for this book,
and for the Diana Spaulding Mysteries
came from the stories my grandfather told me about
growing up in the late nineteenth century.

Someday was once scheduled for publication by Silhouette Books' Keepsake line.
The line was discontinued before Someday reached stores, but there was a cover done.
Frankly, I was glad this one was not used on my book.
There is no scene like this in the story.
(P.S. Kaitlyn Gorton is the name I use on books published by Silhouette.)
